Q: What is the Our Lady of Fatima Home Visitation Program?
A:  The 80th Anniversary of the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary to three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal, marked the beginning of a program dedicated to spreading the message of Fatima through visitations of a traveling Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima.  To encourage others to learn about the Fatima Apparitions through this visitation program, a “supply box” was organized to accompany the Statue and further promote the Divine Message of Fatima.  Each box contains information to explain the message, blessed Rosaries, Brown Scapulars, and Miraculous Medals.  Participants, who welcome Our Lady for a visit to their homes, will host the Blessed Pilgrim Statue and use materials within the supply box for one week.  There are no expectations or requirements to fulfill - other than a heartfelt desire to heed the Program Mission: Spread devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Q: How do we obtain the Virgin Statue and supply box?
A: Once you've added your family name to the program list , you will be assigned a week to host the Virgin Statue and supply box.  The host family who preceded your week will contact you (phone or email) to arrange a time to meet after mass and deliver the Statue and box. Do keep in mind, these items have been blessed - and therefore, must be handled with the utmost care and reverence.

Q: How do we use the materials?
A: Prepare a place of honor in your home for the Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima. Take time to explore the materials packed inside the supply box.  How and when you choose to use these items with your family, are entirely up to you.

Q: May we keep some of the items in the box?
A: Yes!  In fact, you're encourage to keep any items that may promote continued devotion to Our Lady.  A few materials must remain in the box - they are labeled accordingly.

Q: How do we support the program through donation envelopes?
A: Donation Envelopes are found in the supply box. Host families may place a small monetary contribution in the envelope and add it to the Sunday collection basket; however, this is not a requirement for participation.  All donations help restock materials taken from the box during home visits.  Again, this practice is strictly voluntary - yet, certainly appreciated!

Q: How do we enroll?

A: Visit the contact page and submit your request via email or phone.

Q: How can my parish start their own program?

A: Contact the National Director of the OLFHVP for more information and assistance.
